We've been working on some projects related to our anniversary.

In 1962 (our 200th Anniversary), we offered a commemorative plate which could be purchased. This year, we are offering a new one to celebrate. The design is in the works, though it will have similarities to the previous one.

The original 1962 plate looked like this:

The final artwork for the 2012 plate is complete, here is an image of the artwork (the plates have been ordered and are in the process of production now.)

Please click on the plate to see a larger image. If you would like to purchase one, You can download an order form here and send it to us, or contact us and we'll make sure you get one.

Here are some of the other projects we're working on, including the Jellerson School and a beautiful commemorative quilt we're working on.

We'd like to keep the quilt in town, rather than raffle it off- It can be displayed in a public setting and townspeople can continue to enjoy it in the future. To help support that, we are offering the opportunity to purchase a name to be put on the back of the quilt. If you'd like to have your name, a couple's name, a business or organization's name, or simply to add a name in memory of someone, you can either download this form and mail it to the Bowdoinham Historical Society with your donation, or visit http://www.bowdoinhamhistoricalsociety.org for more information. Proceeds will help restore the Jellerson School.
